For the System-Prototyping-Emulator-Hardware (SPE) related design services, EDAptability normally doesn't charge the customer for customer specific modifications. That means:

Application Specific Boards (ASBs) are developed free of charge (except material costs). Parts can be provided by the customer.

FPGA Boards can be modified for customer needs. Only if the modifications become too complex, EDAptability will charge the customer based on a given quotation.

At the beginning of such a development/modification process, specifications are exchanged and reviewed. Based on this first milestone, schematics, part-layout and PCB-layout are generated and reviewed. Only if both sides agree to this project, the PCBs are generated, mounted and tested.

EDAptability also offers customers the schematics and knowledge of the FPGA Boards and ASBs. Further developments can then actively driven on the customer side.
